Pempek is short for Empek-Empek, or sometimes just Empek. It is a delicacy made from fish and served with a tangy sauce and noodles. The most popular kind is called the "submarine", probably because it contains an egg inside.
Our empek-empek is made by Budiman Foods. The head chef of Budiman Foods, Mr. Budiman, hails from Palembang, so we swear by the authenticity.
